Arang Review

I wouldn’t say this was bad– it was just strange.  It was too mythical and fictional that I couldn’t really relate to anything in the drama.  I didn’t feel the main characters (who were almost all either ghosts, ghouls, reapers, gods, or shamans lol), and I found them kind of boring anyway.  The plot was just too planned out, overdone, and outlandish…I just felt really dumb watching it since there was like no way I could understand the whole “spirit world” and solve the mystery.  Oh god, the mystery solving…it just got tiresome.

I think the highlight was the cinematography which nicely displayed good action scenes and beautiful scenery.   That’s Arang‘s up on Faith.  But Faith has a much more complex, varied storyline and many more characters to work with which makes it enjoyable.  The acting in Arang was fine, but too bad the characters were too predictable.  Typical romance development…not much that stood out to make it memorable.
